In the meeting held at the CIEM on 30 March 2022, Mr. Dennis Quennet shared his quite positive impressions on the fruitful cooperation between the Macroeconomic Reform/Green Growth Programme and the CIEM and other partner organisations to support Viet Nam in achieving its goals of green growth. In his new position, Mr Quennet would continue and develop this effective cooperation, bringing in international experiences which are relevant to support Viet Nam to identify the most suitable approach to sustainable economic development.On behalf of CIEM, President of the CIEM, extended warm greetings and congratulations to Mr. Dennis Quennet on starting his new term of office in Viet Nam. She also briefly reviewed cooperation activities between the CIEM and the GIZ Macroeconomic Reforms/Green Growth Programme in recent years, in which numerous actions have been implemented on the topics of restructuring Vietnam's economy in the 2021-2025 period, improving the business environment, taking advantage of the free trade agreements, digital transformation, new economic models such as the circular economy... contribute to perfecting the legal framework of related issues, and promote policies that are put into practice in Vietnam's economy. Findings from these works provided important inputs for the CIEM to fulfill its responsibilities and the leading think-tank in economic policies of the Government.Dr. Tran Thi Hong Minh expressed her strong commitment in continuing the effective cooperation with the GIZ Macroeconomic Reforms/Green Growth Programme and wished Mr. Quennet a successful term of office in Viet Nam.
