On 16 March 2022, Dr Michael Krakowski, Chief Technical Advisor, Director of the Macroeconomic Reform/Green Growth Programme was awarded a Commemorative Medal for his outstanding contribution to the advancement of Financial Sector of Viet Nam.

The Vice Minister of Finance Tran Xuan Ha said that Dr Michael Krakowski, in more than 10 years working in Viet Nam as the Chief Technical Advisor of GIZ, has contributed significantly to the success of cooperation between Viet Nam Government and German Government in financial sector, especially in public finance, i.e. state budget management, tax management, public debt management and price management.

The Vice Minister emphasized that this is an honor, as well as a recognition and a respect from the Ministry of Finance to Dr Michael Krakowski for his dedication in specific, as well as to GIZ for their support to the Ministry of Finance and Viet Nam development in general.
