Hanoi, 23 May 2019 – An event took place in the Office of the Government (OoG) in Hanoi on May 23 to unveil the “Handbook on the OoG’s Process of Verification and Examination of Legal Documents”. The handbook is supported by Project “Strengthening legal development capacity for the OoG”, implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project has been assisting the OoG’s Law Department in making examination on legal document drafts as well as improving its internal process of operations. In particular, the project has worked with the Department to make a comprehensive amendment for the Regulation of the OoG on verification and examination of legal normative documents. The content of the amended Regulation, together with related legal documents in the field of making law, are described and simplified in the handbook. Following the launch of the Handbook, the OoG immediately organized a short training course for its relevant staff to make the best use the document in their daily work.
